Was trying to get a sneak bid on eBay with 8 seconds left. Iv been trying it on my phone to no luck so far. Would have one this last one but on the computer it asks you to confirm you bid and I lost out on time :-L
So I wanna start by saying I did like the game. It wasn't awful but it wasn't amazing either. I did prefer 2 and 3 and it's about even with 1. For one thing, you spend maybe 20% of the game actually doing something. I felt like there was an obnoxious amount of climbing and scaling and since the chapters were like an hour each that got stale fast. If the game wasn't visually magnificent this would have been horrible. They also started a lot of things that they didn't see through and that was disappointing from a story perspective. For one thing, I loved the big twist in Chapter 17 when it was revealed how Sam got out of jail. That was a fucking gut punch. What I didn't like was how fast they moved away from that topic though. I would have liked them to elaborate it more because it was a real quick " Oh he lied to you Nate," from Rafe and then bam moving on. I was actually interested in the Alcazar thing and we spent an entire chapter on it so for them to just brush it off kind of cheapened the experience. Another thing was Nadine. Absolutely loved her character and they go no where with her. She literally just says "Forgety'all" and walks away at the end. Like that's fucking it? We've been building a conflict between her and the Drakes since the beginning and she just walks off? Finally, the story in general. Idk what it was but it just felt so average for a Nathan Drake story, Ya know? I liked that it was a little more linear but there was no crazy story of supernatural proportions. It honestly just felt like a typical action/adventure game. This series made its mark by throwing in some bizarre shit and just to see it all be so cliched was a let down. The epilogue as well. It didn't even feel like an Uncharted game. However, the pirate stuff was awesome and really interesting. Idk if you found the journal entries but man that was some interesting shit. I wish they incorporated that into the story instead of it being bonus shit. I did like the character development from Nate and Sam though and finding out how they got their start was a really good narrative point. Graphics were insane. Seriously the best I've ever seen and I liked Rafe and Nadine as well. I guess overall it just feels like the series ended with a whimper instead of a bang. 6.5/10. Maybe 7.
