People who smoke weed in public deserve to be caught, imo. If you walk around drinking a bottle of vodka, you get arrested for that too. If you're chillin at your house being responsible, you're not bothering anyone, and you'll never get caught.... If people were just smart about it, there would be no issue, and it would likely be legalized.

The only reason it's still illegal is because so many government jobs are dependant on enforcing laws regarding marijuana. If people were smart enough to not smoke in public, and get caught all the time.... The jobs would be pointless.

That won't make a difference. Most people, once they realize the amount of money to be made, will grow legally and above board. There will always be a segment of society, i.e. illegal downloaders, that will attempt to skirt the rules and grow without paying the taxes. Growing is not the issue for the feds, it's being able to regulate it and make sure it isn't in the hands of minors, etc.

I see specials on MSNBC all the time about "America's Pot Industry." If only it were legal, as people have said, our nations debt would be drastically less. I'm surprised the government hasn't decided to try and get its hands on this gold mine yet.
