    Fucking hell what a show. It’s always been a bucket list item for me to see Metallica in the pit and getting to do that was insane. Only my second time seeing them but fuck they are phenomenal live and James sounded amazing. Loved every minute of it and there were a couple of cool surprises in the set. Not going to the second day unfortunately because I had to come back to IL for work but I think I can logic out the bigger songs on what was swapped for what (Going into the set blind because I have the double show for IL next year) and I was happy with it. The new stuff sounded great. This is all purely assumption MILD SET SPOILERS 





    but I think we got Puppets instead of One, Sad But True instead of Sandman, Fade to Black instead of For Whom The Bell Tolls and The Day That Never Comes instead of whatever St Anger pick for the oddball song. Was pretty good with all that
