Crowd didnt like Dance With The Dead though. They didnt get any movement, and even got booed at points. Avatar fans are assholes. 

I met them afterwards though, bought a copy of Loved To Death on CD and got it signed.

I was going to go to that, but I had no desire to see Avatar and it was the day after Slayer. I'm hoping he does a headline tour I'll be able to go to soonish

Crack The Skye in full plus Mother Puncher plus closing with Blood and Thunder probably makes that my favorite Mastodon set I've seen.

Jealous. They played Blood and Thunder at my show and the entire seated ampitheater went off, I have no idea how that isn't a set staple of theirs. I've only seen them play it one other time and it's always a highlight. Wish we had gotten Mother Puncher but at least I caught it on the first Emperor of Sand leg. Our CTS set ended with Blood and Thunder (A+), Crystal Skull (middle of the road track imo, idk why they favor it live so often), Ancient Kingdom (halfway decent), and The Motherload (mehhh).
