Listened to it on the way to and from work. I like all of em, but the 3rd song is my favorite. Idk the titles yet cuz i just turned it on spotify and started driving. But yeah good shit man your growls keep improving with each release. I like the mix on your clean vocals too makes it blend together a lot better.
Hard to pick a fav. Each has its own little feel to it and the variety might be my favorite thing about it. As soon as I think “oh this sounds like ____”, it changes up. Only thing that annoyed me was waiting a full minute to hear where you are at vocally on the first song, I hate that shit. Lots of good bands with shit vocals out there. New bands gotta let me know right away. I’ve got musical ADD. I want a riff or drum roll and a scream/growl right off the bat. Especially live. If I’m at a show for a new band, I’m either moving closer because they draw me in and they kick ass or I’m running for a piss/beer/merch/smoke break because it doesn’t appeal to me. I hate having to wait around to see if it’s gonna be good, if they got riffs or if the vocals are gonna be awful. I like a super short intro followed by a punch in the face and a kick in the dick. Let me know you came to kick ass and steal my wallet lol.
Already working on the next EP (songs are already all written) and my other guitarist wants to start the EP off with a 10 minute long song. I personally think it should be split into two different songs, and edited a bit for direction and flow. But he doesn't want to change it at all, and wants to leave it as is.
idk how to have this conversation without it seeming like I'm trying to dictate our song writing. I just dont think the two parts flow well together, and that most people are going to be turned off by a 10 minute long intro. He's starting to write with the mindset that "longer is better", and I'm not vibing with the lack of direction.
Im really happy with how the bass turned out. Its a blended tone of a mic'd up Aguilar Tonehammer under a amp sim called the Bassforge Hellraiser. Its an amazing amp sim

Maybe for the full length we'll just kick it in immediately though. Change up the formula.
