Both of my frame ups sere done through Micheal's. First was a custom frame with a 70% off coupon. Second was a store bought frame I had them frame up for me. It was a bit cheaper that way, but not much.
I want to make s custom frame for my Death collection. Drumhead signed by 13 members, DTA setlist, all 7 booklets with 2-3 signatures each, couple picks etc. I know itll cost a bit.
The more things you put into the frame, the more the price goes up obviously, but it's crazy how exponentially expensive it quickly gets. You need a much larger frame to fit everything, larger glass, larger mats, and all of the different mat cutting can really start to add up. It may be a bit cheaper to have everything done in a pair of frames (smaller frames, glass, matting etc)
I also had them mount my Sabbath coasters and VIP pass over the mat rather than cutting out a spot for each item. If I had each spot cut out it would have required another mat layer underneath. I think the mats were $30 ~$60 each depending on size, color, and material.
Also, be very clear on how you want the stuff mounted, they have a few ways of doing it and some will destroy the prints if you ever want them to come out of the frame. Don't ever dry mount.
It becomes a balance of not spending too big of a fortune and not skipping out on the presentation. You only pay for it once though, you'll be looking at it for much longer.
The VIP passes will get mounted and framed with the posters similar to how I got my Sabbath poster done up. My broken ass camera does them no justice, the passes have a lot of detail on the back with the goblins and flowers.
