anyone help me reset or crack win 8 Admin password?

Youd have to reset the operating system.

its win 8 asks me for a password to use the restore

do that and select reset. It will wipe your PC fresh. now if you're trying to get into someone elses pc to see there files this wont work so im going to assume this isn't for you.

its a gateway. ... i think someone removed the restore partition... and when i go to gateway restore to do anything i have to have windows admin password

dude the brand of the computer is irrelevant if you are just trying to gain access to windows. If its windows 8 those steps above will work. You just have to restart the computer and put it into a troubleshooting mode. I forget which keys you hold when you shut it down though.

ah that means that the copy of windows that is installed was installed with a disc. PC's that you would by with it preinstalled usually have the windows serial number attached to windows somehow so when you reset it they won't require a key or whatever.

Basically you're fucked. probably have to buy windows to use that computer

Yeah its a shame you cant getninto the Os. There is a workaroudn so you can still get windows 10 for free.
