Most of it is usually a throwback or a fun reference to some old 80's corny shit though. But the "I saw your mom on the beach" memory jog shit was just extra corny to me.
Did I miss something? Why did Hopper have to die? Only thing that’s been bothering me. He wasn’t that far from the control room Joyce was in. Could he NOT have sprinted across the metal platform to join her in the control room before she closed the portal? Woulda literally taken an extra 5 seconds. Shit seemed cheap to me and has been bothering me.
In the past Eleven described her powers as a battery that have to be recharged. It's might just be taking longer than normal to recharge, they might be weak because the gateway was closed, maybe its been so long since she was experimented on that the powers wore out. Who knows.
Also, just a thought. Since we still have Russian bs going on I'm gonna bet next season will be set in spring 86 and involve the Chernobyl nuclear disaster
That'd be cool but i bet its set in the winter due to the Thanksgiving visit comments at the end, plus the seasons tend to correlate with its real life release date. Winter 2020 gives them 18 months to make a new season
I know. But again, whether it had actually killed him or not, I’m not understanding why he was standing there jus accepting his fate like he was trapped instead of running to Joyce in the control room before she activated it. He was literally maybe 25 feet away from her at MAX. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Possibly. I think their plan was to do 5 seasons so maybe if the next season doesn't involve it the final season will

And what made Eleven lose her powers?
