I remember being one of like 10 people at one of their first shows before they'd even finished writing Roads to Judah. Pretty dope they got on that circuit. Really good guys.
I turned down seeing them a number of years ago while they were supporting either their demo or rtj at a basement. the show poster had their demo art with the fingers.
do you remember who played that show with deafheaven, wine? One of my friends says he went to like their 2nd show ever at some dude's apartment in SF, and they played with Beau Navire and Loma Prieta I think
First time I saw Deafheaven was opening for BTBAM, after they had gotten tons of attention for Sunbather. Then again a few months later headlining a free show in Boston.

No, but I'm sure that wasn't it. It was the first time they'd played Parkside back in like '10, before they'd signed to Deathwish.
Experience Hendrix was an amazing show. Great artists and phenomenal guitarists getting together and playing three hours of Jimi Hendrix. Billy Cox, Buddy Guy,Zakk Wylde, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Dweezil Zappa, Eric Johnson, Doyle Bramhall II, Chris Layton, Mato Nanji and Ana Popovic all shared the stage and took turns playing lead or singing. When Zakk came out he played very Zakk Wylde like and stuck out like a sore thumb but but it was still neat. Buddy Guy came out with his own backing band at the very end and played the final three songs before everybody came back out for a bow.
