Find one craft-ish beer you like and then get something sort of similar to it next time you go to the store and just keep going.

I got into crafts by drinking Sierra Nevada, then I started drinking a lot of Lagunitas. One time, the beer store was out of both so I got Accumulation, and then you just keep going until you bump up against your taste limits and expand them.

Trooper is meh. The 666 special edition is a tad better. They have a porter coming out in the fall so we'll see how that goes.
