Last year I went to this thing called the Goose Island Block Party in Chicago having no idea what it was other than it would have Unknown Mortal Orchestra. It was a - and I'm not sure why I was surprised - literal block party at the Goose Island brewery. Had a fucking great time for drinking very little since I had a five hour drive and wanted to go back with more planning now next year since I knew what it was. Well after months of checking and never never seeing or hearing anything, I gave up. Go figure they just announced it and it is next month. Two days this year and fuck me if I can find anybody to go with me.
I know Goose Island isn't really craft anymore after selling to Busch but it seemed to fit in this thread. The bourbon County coffee stout used to be #1 on beer advocate and they still have like 6 in the top 50
India and I waited in the longest line ever to see APC in this casino this convenation is at. Narrator is already annoying and I have a feeling a lot of good info i didn't know is coming a long with a slew of outdated shit. A lot has changed in the eight years since this was made.
Totally agree. Just when it talks about the three tier shit it makes me think that the government caused prohibition just to get it's hands on the cash flow. It shows the monopoly the big brewers have(and still do) and it pisses me off. It talks about all the lobbying and shit they do. Like that should not be in a beer documentary. They are so fucked. That's why I said get that shit outta here.
I fell asleep but not before some guy said "you trust big beer companies to tell you what beer you should like? That's like listening to McDonald's tell you about good food"
