If you chop it all down to the base, all we are is animals that are supposed to perpetuate the species. So not mating goes against our basic coding. Pretty much everything else in life aside from eating is superfluous. So yeah, not getting laid should literally drive you crazy. Denying that is kinda silly and drenched in denial.
