They are banning them around here. The airport has already banned using them. I don't really care cabs suck

They are legit around here. Taken them a couple times when going out for drinks with work dudes. Boss will pay for an über with the company card so no one has to drive drunk \m/

uber/lyft are services real similar to taxis. I've never used it, but from what I've heard, you sign up for the app and from there when you're out somewhere, you can post that you need to ride some where, and it'll give you a suggested donation amount, from there, someone will pick you up, give you a lift, and then you pay them a donation. The app keeps track off how well you pay tho, so if you're a cheap asshole, it's likely nobody will give you a ride.

We have beepers here. People who just drive around picking people up and dropping them off at parties. They charge like $2-3 a person and take big groups at a time. It's a pretty small college town so nothing is too far away. My friend tried it one night and made like 40 bucks in 2 hours.
