I'm always down to re-watch but my initial opinion was just like yours. It was so bad ass and then it got silly and I was just kinda like "Wtf?"
I feel you man. I thought all the tension buildup through stuff like Tarantino killing the bank teller and how he was hallucinating was wasted when the vampires popped up. I watched it about a year ago and really liked it a lot. When you take it all for what it is, it actually has interesting things to say about morality and redemption. Clooney was badass in it. Salma Hayek was smokin'. And since I saw it in the theater when I was 17, it was the first place I found out about Tom Savini. There were 2 direct to video sequels that I've never seen, but heard good things about
Yeah I thought the performances were great it was just the actual story I had a problem with. Hayek was in like sexy overdrive. And Clooney was amazing. I'll pry re watch it the next time I have some free time and re-evaluate it now that I know what to expect.
Man fuck you disagree. B-horror is amazing. Nothing tops shit like Dead Alive, and Evil Dead, and Birdemic, and Troll 2, and Re-Animator, and, yes, From Dusk Till Dawn.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil is one of my favorite movies along those lines that I've seen recently. I never wanted to give it a chance but when I did I loved it
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
When I watched From Dusk Til Dawn a few years ago, I think I was in the bathroom or on the phone or something, cuz I walked back in the room and everyone was a vampire or some shit. I was just like "wtf? How? Why?" Prolly gonna have to rewatch.
