probly Black Sabbath @ Lollapalooza 2012 nd not just cause of the band/music but also all the crowd violence/drunkness/broken glass nd for some reason 2 ppl fucking on the lawn & 2 giant inflatable sex dolls being tossed throughout the pit during the show - plus Sabbath is in their 60s now and that show they rocked harder than any young band going today
Yeah I saw them last year in Tinley Park man. They can still rock the fuckin venues. And Tommy Clufetos was an excellent substitute for Ward on drums. Geezer and Tony were flawless and Ozzy was a vocal powerhouse.
hell yea tony's solo in the middle of into the void was fuckin insane - couldnt make it down to tinley park for sabbath 2013 but heard andrew wk opened or some shit????? th Sabbath show id say might be tied with Maiden @ tinley in 2012, was in the pit great fuckin show
Maiden was incredible. Shit isn't a show, its a fuckin experience. And yeah Andrew WK opened but I had to work so I got there like 5 mins before Sabbath came on and WK was long gone by then.
Best concert I ever went to was Scion Rock Fest 2010. First time I ever saw D.R.I live and the place went absolutely nuts. Cannibal Corpse headlined and they were at their best that night.
Agalloch (twice at Reggies) is up there. The atmosphere of their concerts are incredible.
Korpiklaani (at Reggies) and Alestorm (at the Bottom Lounge) are probably the most fun bands I've seen.
Of course my first concert experience was awesome. My first concert was Queensryche, Alice Cooper, and Heaven and Hell at the Sears Center in like 07. Was awesome.
This is a tough one. I'm going to have to go with finally seeing Baroness on their headlining run last August. I almost didn't make it to the show, but a buddy of mine brought me when he got out of work. Ended up missing the first half of Royal Thunder, but I was up on the stage through all of Baroness. It was a small-ass bar too, so no rail or anything like that. I was right in front of John Baizley the whole night, just going hard.
If we're talking shows that were part if a tour, either Rush on the Time Machine tour or Mastodon/Kylesa/Intonaut in 2009. But Stella Natura Festival 2013 was the best single show I've gone to.
