After a series of delays, As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis was back in a Vista, CA courtroom today for legal proceedings stemming from his murder-for-hire case.
And guess what? As we had expected, a plea deal has been reached. Lambesis admitted to attempting to hire a hitman to kill his wife and will reportedly serve nine years in prison, according to a court clerk.
Our courtoom contact states that Lambesis pled guilty to one count as a felony. Regardless of what the clerk said, he could serve anywhere up to nine years, which means he could skate with as little as probation. The duration of prison time was apparently not defined in the deal.
