do you have to take algebra 1 and 2 or just 1? When I was in school, we had to take both at first. Then once i got to my junior year, they cut it to just Algebra 1 so I lucked out completely.

He is a junior taking algebra 1 for the 3rd straight time.
My other friend passed it in 8th grade.

In 8th Grade I took Algebra 1...here's how it is in high school.

Algebra 1-2
Geometry
Algebra 2 or Precalc (if you're in honors, which I am)
Precalc or Calculus

I'm a sophomore right now, in Honors Geometry...if I don't take Precalc next year, I take Algebra again...high school math is pretty much a joke.
