I've been thinkin' this for awhile now. I have ideas but no real solutions. With no attention paid to causality here, I, personally, don't comment here because there's just nothing that draws me in anymore. We all used to about music and metal, concerts and that shit, doesn't seem to be a big theme now, and that's my biggest issue. Every time I come here the front page is talking about sports and silly contests, what happened there MetalUprising? Beyond that I just find that new threads are few and far between this place has stagnated to inside jokes and recycled threads. People used to post interested news articles about the metal world and even outside metal and music in general. I think the Say Something Random thread needs to be locked. If you have something random and interesting to say, isn't that what a new discussion is for? Besides that I skim the marijuana thread briefly, maybe the failed and owned thread, then I leave. There's nothing engaging here anymore. These large umbrella conversations about video games, or what you're listening to. You should be encouraging people to write and create threads for specific video games, or for specific album reviews, for specific songs people wanna analyze or talk about. The more content people are able to see available to them, the more likely they are to find something that interests them. I don't really wanna spend the time to scroll through the last 10 pages of the album review thread to find something to talk about.

Anyways, just the opinion of an old friend.
