The amount of shit our government actually gets away with is staggering and almost comical at this point. If any other country tried half the shit we pull on us, there would be such hell to pay. No other country would ever be allowed to fly a drone over an American neighborhood and just fire a hellfire or two on it because they were pretty sure some asshole lived there, but we do it to other people so often that it doesn't even hit the news cycle anymore. This spying shit wouldn't fly either if it was China or Russia doing it. The U.S. government is the biggest global terrorist organization of them all.
