I honestly don't know who Mayhem Fest could book that would not only appeal to me, but also fit the Mayhem Fest crowd, and also not be a repeat.

I feel like artists like Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch and some other black/thrash bands would appeal to Mayhem Fest attendees and to people like us. Of course those groups alone aren't enough for me to want to go, but I'd be stoked to catch 'em if I did go

I mean, I'm sure Gojira would do well. But yeah, I'm also kinda out of touch, but there's a reason for that. I think it'd benefit Mayhem to look into more Relapse bands and stuff.

If Mayhem put the current Mastodon and Between the Buried and Me tours together and threw Lamb of God at the top with maybe some Ghost, Red Fang and Blood Ceremony in there and they could prolly be profitable and relevant. I know that won't happen because part of the optimization of their capital is by them getting the money from major labels to push their garbage. Outside Mastodon and LoG and maybe Ghost, none of those bands have some behemoth corporation behind them shoving them down people's throats
