Randall Blythe, singer for Virginia-based heavy metal band Lamb of God died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in the courtroom after receiving his ten year prison sentence in Prague, Czech Republic on Tuesday afternoon. The band has released the following statement in the wake of shock from fans:
"There is no easy way to say this... our brother Randy committed suicide in the courtroom today after receiving the maximum prison sentence. All Lamb of God related activities have been postponed indefinitely. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
1971-2013"
