i used to work security at a place called the masquerade in atlanta from '96-'98. during that time pop/ska-punk and nu/rap-metal were the buzz trend with the kiddies. i can't think of many of those bands that weren't courting young bitches. problem (for them) was, we wouldn't allow anyone backstage that wasn't 18 during the all-ages shows. the rule was actually implemented because the local opener bands were often really young and tried to bring a bunch of people back to meet the headliners. i remember there was a band called no use for a name and their guitar player tried to fight me, then get me fired because i wouldn't let a 16 year old girl backstage. most of the time, the guys would just tell the girls to meet them by their tour bus outside. there are a few bands from that era that are still around that i know either had sex with underage girls or at least tried in addition to getting them drunk, high, etc. fred durst immediately comes to mind. limp bizkit had a certain size of panties included in their tour rider and they would make chicks try on in front of them in efforts to "win" them. it's funny, because a lot of the hair metal bands were doing reunion shows around that time and while you'd think they'd have been some of the worst about sleazy shit like that, a lot of them just went back to the hotels afterward and left the groupies to the security guys. i got my dick sucked once just because steve pearcy from ratt was bored with this chick and told her to go blow me instead.
I don't get how some people can have that much of an ego or that negative of an attitude. What needed to happen was the guy posting that blog entry man up and beat the shit out of the dude for treating his friend that way.
