Spotify?

Anyone have any experience using Spotify? I'm thinking about getting the premium (10 bucks a month for both computer and smartphone ) and trying it out. I'm kinda bummed certain labels like Metal Blade and Prosthetic aren't on it, but for the price of a cd, I think its worth it. Thoughts?

I just downloaded it two days ago. I am mainly using it to listen to stuff I don't have until I can find it and buy the actual CD. I still want to have the actual CD, but sometimes its hard to find them or get to a record store to buy them.

I don't think I'll be subscribing to premium anytime soon.

I used it last year from around Feb-April. Back when it was no wait time/ads. I listened to a few albums on there. They have stuff from Relapse and Century... not sure who else because I didn't really pay attention. But if they have Profound Lore/Southern Lord, that's awesome.

no. you get forever of the free version. you just have to put up with ads and can only have it on your computer. if you pay ads are gone, and you can put it on your smart phone too.

I've had the free version for about a year. It's awesome. It will even act as your iTunes and play files off your computer as well.

When you subscribe you get no ads and it bumps everything to 320 sound.

just looked. Some from both are actually on there. Not entire catalogs though.

EDIT: You have to kinda dig, but I'm finding more and more...

See thats what I mean. I know theres a couple metal labels on there, but a few of the really good ones aren't. And I'm only wondering about premium because I have an hour commute to and from work monday thru friday and having it on my phone would be awesome.

I'll probably give the 30 day free trial of premium a try and see how it goes.

Ok here's what I'm finding with the metal

If you just type in a record label, you won't find it.

To see if they had Profound Lore stuff, I typed in Atlas Moth, Dark Castle, and Pallbearer - all were on there. Agalloch's main albums are on there as well.

Metal Blade I searched The Ocean, Amon Amarth, and Primordial - all on there as well.

Southern Lord had one Sunn song, Pelican is on there, Weedeater is on there.

I actually do think there is a decent selection.
