well theres nothing wrong with aenima thats for sure, i just think as a whole lateralus just has a better flow to it from start to finish. both are amazing tho
All of their albums are awesome at the very least, to each his own. I wouldn't bash any Tool fan. I just like the ambiance of Lateralus and 10,000. I think things like Lost Keys, (-) ions, and Eon Blue are amazing, great connectors. Viginti was great, but I wish there were more to it. But they all add to the meditative vibe.
i saw tool live the day lateralus came out, which i hadn't heard at the time. they played 4 songs off the album and i swear i thought they were playing the same boring song repeatedly trying to bait the crowd

I agree...but to me lateralus is my top album ever....bit undertow is special...it represents a different era....it's raw and in your fucking face without giving a fuck...getting Justin chandler without a doubt made tool better...Everything tool does is special though. There really aren't bands that still take time to make there work the best possible...this is part of my admiration of tool...they card about what they write...and what the believe...and will next let dollars effect what they do...and it reflects in there music....they represent everything that music should be about
