It never crossed your mind who you are being educated by?
Personally, I hope our monetary system fails and anarchy ensues. Everything that is happening now is wrong. Time to hit the reset button
Experts in the economic system...what bad people to teach me about the economic system. I don't want to be an asshole, but if you think the Fed should be eliminated, you probably don't know very much about public finance.
I also think you don't know what your monetary system failing means. You would probably be angry that all your money in the bank is gone. You'd probably be angry that the crime rate skyrockets. You'd probably be angry that you aren't safe in your home. You'd probably be homeless. Hitting the reset button doesn't happen without EVERYONE becoming fucked. If you want to change things, you do it marginally.
I'm happy with how the Fed has performed lately. It's done a poor job accounting, but that's pretty much it. The Great Recession would have been worse than the Great Depression without the Fed. 25% unemployment would have just been the beginning too. You're trying to tell me that you actually want that?
if you can at least admit that the fed should be regularly audited/ monitored for the benefit of the country then you are a fucking fool and part of the enemy period.

Sure, it's not perfect. Auditing the Fed is different than what I think a majority of the problem is. I think they have a hard time accounting for all of the money, and thus can't represent it, as opposed to willingly spending it poorly. Monitoring the Fed is important, but the government should absolutely NOT have overriding power over the Federal Reserve Chairmen or its governors.
I'd be fine with it representing itself like any normal bank does, but I think it's next to impossible, because it's so difficult to represent it.
its activity should be transparent, your making it more complicated for no reason.. there is no logical reason that money in the trillions should ever not be accounted for, your sounding ridiculous

I'm not saying it shouldn't be accounted for, I'm saying it's extraordinarily difficult to account for it. I'm not making it more complicated than it needs to be, it's just that the issue is complicated.
