Most the metal he listens to is stoner/doom/sludge stuff. If you're compiling a list of best artists of all time and you're focusing mainly on older artists, Black Sabbath makes complete sense if most your metal diet is stoner/doom and stuff.

Mine's gonna take some time to finalize. It's pretty much what Nola's asking for (best bands, not your favorites) made up only of bands in my iTunes library. And frankly there are quite a few "essentials" that aren't in my library but would be on my list if I had listened to them sooner.

I added up how many albums I listed... roughly 20 different bands. Just cut out the ones towards the end (dre, adel, eminem) and there is my top 20. done!
