I've been giving this some thought after watching Walking Dead.....

I'd grab a dirty big launch on a lake. Like Lake Tahoe which has loads of small towns around it. You could live just offshore on the boat without threat of zombies attacking (I assume they can't swim) and just go ashore to get supplies (and play at the casinos of course) when food ran short. With all the small towns around the lake you could easily make regular forages for food at minimal risk and then retreat to the launch

Or....I'd find an island like Fiji...but it would have to be smaller so you could get around it. Terminate all the zombies on the island. You then have the whole island to yourself to grow crops and live. You would want a few people with you but not many. You would want to be able to monitor who was alive all the time coz as soon as someone became ill or died without you knowing then you're in big trouble.
A group of maybe 10-20 max like this would be ideal....
