Would a 400W LED light work better? LED's are fucking expensive but if it'll make the quality any better, I can afford it.

Do seeds go bad? I got a few seeds from months ago but don't know whether to use them or not :-?.... Also gonna buy a multi-pack online. I want 3-4 different strains.
