No, winterizing is removing and fats, lipids, and other impurities carried into the product, usually carried in by small amounts of water, by soaking it in high proof alcohol for a few days. It's a method of further refining the oil/wax/shatter/crumble.
The texture seems to be impacted the most by finishing temperatures. (in my experience) the higher the temps, the more "solid" it becomes. Shatter is made at higher temperatures than crumble.
Solventless leads me to believe it's just basically refined or polished ice hash. Like bubble hash is ice hash, but not all ice hash is bubble hash. Hash has to dry though, maybe they added a little heat to the process and got a shatter like consistency to it.
Yeah, ask about it, I'm curious now too. The only methods I know of that are truly solventless are dry collection (kief boxes etc) and ice hash. Solventless can also be used in the sense that the finished product has no detectable amounts left in it, making it even more confusing. Some people consider c02 to be solventless, some people consider it a solvent.
Just found another method called "rosin technique" that only uses a hair straightener and parchment paper )
Apperantly people are starting to use hair straighteners to make wax with instead of butane. I read an article about it yesterday. Seems like a major pain in the ass.

If it is simply smooth ice hash thats disappointing. And kind of a misnomer.
