I'm not saying it's a bad song, my argument is that the song does not deserve nearly as much attention as it gets. If we're talking best songs on NOTB, it's not there if you ask me.
It's better than Number of the Beast in my opinion, which is played on nearly every tour. Run To The Hills is the song that broke Maiden through internationally, so it is a historically significant song for them.

Historically significant is irrelevant if we are talking about the quality of the song. Songs that break artists into the mainstream rarely are the best songs of their career, although the mainstream rarely sees it that way.
I never said it was one of the best songs of their career, I said it's better than Number of the Beast, which they play more live. I wouldn't be surprised if they played NOTB and not Run To The Hills on this tour, because that's what they've done before.

Yeah, Down won it and we going to use it tonight.
"Whoa, we have a song demonstrating Dickinson's vocal range, that must make it good."
That's all I see the argument for RTTH being a great song.
It's not like we have much better songs that do that like Aces High, CSiT, Hallowed be Thy Name, etc
Although there has been a development...
I heard the set in Houston was different from the one in Dallas. I didn't ask for details, obviously, but that's what I know.
