Didn't want to give too much away but since we're already there...
I remember Bruce saying during our date at the Somewhere Back In Time tour that they played they learned their lesson during the Matter of Life and Death tour...they played a bunch of new songs and nobody showed up. Apparently not. I get that it's the album you're supporting, but shit. Play like three songs off of it and then random songs from all over the catalogue. They played a tour of old songs and a tour of newer best hits. Now just jump around everywhere.
I mean, I haven't seen the setlist, but the band was pretty clear up front there were going to be a bunch of new songs on this tour, as in more than 3. 3 songs off a double album probably wouldn't do it, especially since Speed of Light is guaranteed to be one of them and it's the weakest song lol. Take out the 18 minute song and the new album is only slightly longer than A Matter of Life and Death, so the amount of new stuff probably isn't as bad as that tour.
Not all of them. I suspect Speed of Light, Tears of a Clown, and/or Death or Glory are among them, those are 5 minute songs. Again speaking out of my ass a bit since I haven't peeked lol.
Murray confirmed Great Unknown a while back as one of the new ones theyd be playing. Kinda wanna peep the set, kinda don't. It's Maiden so it's gonna be dope and I'm going anyway but curiosity is getting me.
My dad is a true OG though. First time he saw them he was going to see 38 Special in 1982. Iron Maiden was opening on their second US tour, first with Bruce.
And since then the total times he's seen them is somewhere around my age.
Don't know which ones but someone spoiled the number of Book of Souls tracks being played. Pretty Maiden like number. That being said, hope the set is at least 18 or 19 songs.
