We were satisfied with the venue situation this year, so we've decided to use the same set up again next year. What does this mean? We will use the Edison Lot (located at 545 N. High St) for our 2 main stages, Rams Head (located at 20 Market Pl) will be used each night and will host death/black metal bands, and Soundstage (located at 124 Market Pl) will be used each day/night for grind/hardcore/punk bands. On Thursday, only Rams Head will be used.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE EARLY BIRD TICKET SALE:
We are postponing this sale until Saturday, July 19th at 3 PM (EST). As you probably know, the early bird sale was set for today at 3 PM (EST). However, due to a very drawn out process to approve our ability to accept payments through the new ticketing system (which was just approved this morning), our web team has not had time to test the system. We apologize if you've planned your entire day around this sale, but we would prefer to allow time for the web team to make sure that this new system works, rather than have you deal with problems when you try to order.
I was talking to my dad about MDF and how it's the only major metal festival going right now (inb4regionalsandbuttrockfests) and how well it sells despite most of it's bands being obscurities. I don't think he really realized what I meant until I read off the list of bands. I also told him about Wacken and Hellfest and how they pull bands like Sabbath and Kiss to headline. It's really crazy how MDF put together lineups every year that even people here would only know about half the names on the bill, but sell out and have to schedule almost a year in advance. I wish they would've left the Scion Rock Fest here because the venue they had it at the first year has 4 stages, including an outdoor amphitheater. Moving it around every year makes it hard to plan for. I dunno. I guess my main frustration is that the only music festivals around here are packed with a bunch of trendy/hipster shit. The year we did have Scion, it was packed

Damn Really gonna try and get a group together and go. Its stacked already \m/
will @eyegetdank be making an appearance?
Technically me choosing ef and bonaroo over this should make me have to revoke my metal card
Very tempting indeed.
Banaroo is slightly understandable but EF gets a huge ky considering you don't even like that kind of music
I like it when I'm there surrounded by hotties doe instead of gross sweaty metal heads lol

How much are tickets usually? I really want to go this year. Fuck it.
Like 300 I think at most
No bullshit, if it's a smoking hot 18 year old that's into Kanye I'm not remotely interested anymore
I feel that
If I wanted to go to a social outing just to view hot pussy, I'd hit up a UGA game
