i never really connected with the clash the way that i did with most other old punk bands. i always thought they were overrated because they had radio hits. i don't hate them or anything, just find them kinda meh. i'm more of a pistols fan. i've prolly watched 'the great rock n' roll swindle' 50 times.

i know what your saying but they kill the sex pistols....the sex pistols had the whole punk vibe down pat..they lived the lifestyle prob way more than the members of the clash did... but even the sex pistols hits were radio singles as well if you remember.. if you wanna a punk band that lives eat breathes punk then the sex pistols may be for you, you want a punk band thats writes the best punk then the clash is your band I mean the amount of better clash songs compared to sex pistols songs is staggering

like i said, i've never connected with them. i have about 4 songs by them saved. the rest was boring to me. their hipster following is a big turnoff, too. i have a hard time not lumping them in with the police and u2, both of whom i have similar feelings about
