They're not bad. Like I dont mind that they're on lineups opening for bands I like. But I never find myself going "you know what, I wanna listen to Gojira today".
Multiple bands within a given genre aren't going to sound exactly alike. Magma probably has the least amount of death metal influence but a lot of their material right up through L'enfant definitely has a shitload of it.
