And if you don't even have your ears pierced to begin with go to a pro and have them do a 12g on you to start. You'll have to wait 6 months before you can do anything. Some say 3-4 months is fine but the longer you wait the better it is on your ear.

Distance: if I keep mine smaller than 2g then hopefully i'll be alright lol I don't want them too big anyway just in case I do have to go into the corporate world...ugh
^ i took mine out for about a year..and they were no smaller...so i just said fuck it and put them back in -_- figured i bought some glass plugs....better get my moneys worth haha...that was at a 00g though.
I only used pinchers once. You can leave them in if you want I did. I prefer tapers because you just stretch and put a plug in you don't need to leave them in and if you do want to leave them in you're going to have trouble sleeping because they will poke you. Anyway I also prefer whatever I use to be stainless steel. I've just had better experiences with those they work better for me
