Singing has nothing to do with how good a drummer he is.
And who cares if they call him "godfather of double bass", there are hundreds of drummers now who are better than he is, he's not even the best Big 4 drummer.

It's not like he would be 10x better if he didn't do vocals, I'm not even saying he's not a good drummer, he's an incredible drummer, there are only few who are better.
Lombardo's work with Fantomas is better than anything Anthrax did. But if it was only his work in Slayer then Benante would be head and shoulders over anything Lombardo did.
