My guess to this question is No. Don't you think? It seemed like he was a big reason they were the band they were. I mean they wrote 1 album without him before they turned to compete shit. And Even Justice itself seemed like shift from who the band was.... I can't remember how many times I'd be listening to the rock station and someone would call up "Hey, can you play some metallica?" "Sure kid... Pre Justice, Post Justice, or Justice?" He always seemed like the most metal dude in that band.

a lot of the shit i've read about lars and james makes me think that if he'd never joined, they would've always sucked.
according to james they still wouldve wrote justice if he were alive obviously with more elaborate bass parts and i think they wouldve wrote something close to the black album cuz i think he would have wanted to change it up a bit but i definitely dont think they wouldve gone the "load" direction after that. i also find it pretty funny that lars would have been fired if it didnt happen. maybe they wouldve gotten a drummer that wouldve contributed more interesting drum parts.
