I think Valentines day gives off the the illusion that it's the one day you're "supposed" to make the person you love feel extra special and appreciated. Surprising them with anything from a dinner, card, chocolates/candy, stuffed animals, jewelry, something you made yourself or sentimental things. But I think you should make them feel special all the time. And when it comes to surprises, do that all year long. I always have thought Valentines day was made for companies to cash in on couples and is pretty much a big joke

I think it is also a day that makes more people feel like shit then any other day. Both singles and people in relationships that are let down by their partner. It's unfortunate that the day was ever created.

Last two times that I had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day it sucked. The first time, my dad made me cry. I don't even remember the reason. The second time I started a new job that day, working a 2-10 at a movie theater, so we didn't see each other and three days later he dumped me. So fuck it...this year I'm going to see Alan Rickman and Jerry O'Connell on Broadway with my friend Kristen.
well if i was a chick that had a decent boyfriend hell yea i would like valentines day but for a dood i find that it is prob one of the best days of the year to be single
