i just feel like with all this negative attention and awareness that congress would have ALOT of balls to pass this now... i feel pretty confident its done
of coarse its not wine, it would be so much better if they all still supported the bill. pardon me for thinking eroding support for a china style censorship bill was a good thing.

i called my congresswomen today, she was already railing against SOPA. shes got my vote next election
Your congresswoman talks to people on the phone? Mine always goes to voice mail. and her emails back dont ever explain her position. I dont know where she stands on SOPA (id guess pro), but she already lost my vote when she voted to extend the patriot act.
I don't support sopa at all and think it's a ridiculous idea but I find it funny that so many people fighting sopa are the ones that caused this to be put together in the first place with their belief it is okay to steal content through the Internet whether it be music, movies, or programs/software. If you made a movie wrote a program or even in a lot of cases made a song that could help you out financially you would be pissed if someone just got it for free online.
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
i think there is a lot people like me where if im not able to get it for free, 90 percent of the time i would then just go without so it really wouldnt effect there money situation at all
i spent 2 hours yesterday posting shit on fb, writing letters to my local politicians and signing petitions. then my girlfriend argued with me for an hour last night trying to convince me that it was all in vain.
i know it's in vain. i just can't sit around and let it happen without doing anything

Just a few weeks ago MegaUpload founder Kim Dotcom told TorrentFreak that his Mega ventures have nothing to worry about, as they operate within the rules of the law.
“Mega has nothing to fear. Our business is legitimate and protected by the DMCA and similar laws around the world. We work with the best lawyers and play by the rules. We take our legal obligations seriously. Mega’s war chest is full and we have strong supporters backing us,” Dotcom said.

But it's still demonstrative of the people that are in office. Sure, it's great the bill is losing support, but it's still not an "awesome" situation. And besides, it's not the fact that it's a "china style" censorship bill that makes it bad, it's the fact it's a censorship bill at all.

No it's not, it means that these people we elected thought it was cool to pass ridiculous legislation until their electorate made them eat it.
Vote out all of your incumbents please.
