Sneaking Stuff Into Concerts...

So I'm going to be buying a video camera and I was wondering if anyone knew how to sneak one past security at arenas and other big concert shows. More specifically, the security patting people down at shows like Mayhem and Ozzfest before you go through the gates.

have a girl go with you, bring a purse and hide it under some pads. Security guards don't want to touch them, especially if they are used

i suggest not bringing it at all
just buy a digital camera with a video feature

yeah, what Bianca said. There are digital cameras today that can shoot fantastic video footage and a lot of it at that. No reason to risk having your equipment taken away.

I'm just going to film from the seats. Going to get all the main stage bands. And it's about the size and length of my hand.

Also, anyone know if the security at Mayhem and Ozzfest and such watch for filmers? The security at Mayhem didn't seem to really care at all.

it depends on the venue. Girls have a better chance of sneaking stuff in. I have only been roughly frisked once but i was being a smart ass.

Last year I dropped my camera while it was in a bag. It didn't work the majority of the day..Then I opened it and saw that the battery popped out of place lol

At my venue they just patted down your waist, stomach, and upper thighs. I'm guessing they were checking for gun holsters or knives

The first year at Mayhem the guy searched me all over. He even patted my ass, I was like "WTF?!". The 2nd year the guy was just like "uhhh..go 'head".
