metal genre question
what genre of metal best describes a band that plays thrash metal, but has a power metal vocalist? there are so many genres of metal and me confused....
example is Anthrax. they are a thrash metal band, but Joey does not sound like a traditional thrash metal singer, sounds more power metal. another example is iced earth....
problem is that thrash metal has branched in so many directions that when i go to listen to new music, some of the bands dont sound thrash metal to me. kinda weird. i like the thrash style musically, but some of the vocalists are meh
