Yea... Tool is really overrated. They're not bad, but they didn't redefine or revolutionize anything. They just mixed elements from 80s prog with 90s alternative rock.

You could literally do that with any band..
There are pretty much zero bands out there who are 100 percent original and I would even say tool is pretty high up on the originality scale.. Most of mcs bands are just rehash bands anyways
i already said I like them. I have most of their music. I just dont understand why they are considered beyond God tier. You cant deny they are overhyped. Especially on here.
and I understand they have a bit of the drug culture appeal. But as I do not and will never belong to that, I dont understand that aspect of the band. I come from a purely musical standpoint.

music and drugs have gone hand in hand in popular music for the last 100 years, it's a big part of it whether you like it or not
