I'm not saying it's amazing and it might not be a great fit opening for Tool, but it's absolutely not bad. It's very chill and subdued and doesn't have riffs, but it doesn't mean every song doesn't have something interesting going on. Shades of Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, and even ELO throughout this thing.

It's nothing amazing, but I like it. I'm not going to do a dissertation for an album I've only listened to a couple times. If you don't like it, cool. I just disagree with your assertion that there's nothing to work with there.
