but it really depends on the type of tom waits you like..unfortunately for me most the album is not the tom waits i like, really noisey all over the place captain beefheartish type stuff..which isnt bad but its not my cup of tea. if you liked the album real gone youd prob like this
lyrically not many songs really grabbed me which sux cuz hes such an amazing songwriter...
the best songs imo are always the slower sadder piano songs and there were a couple that were pretty awesome
the songs to really check out would be

new years eve
pay me
back in the crowd
now i usually dont like albums the first time i hear them but i dont think this on is going to be a classic sadly like rain dogs or mule variations..in fact id prob put it dead last as my least fav tom album but i shall give it another go and see
when peeps say he is a captain beefheart ripoff i usualy roll my eyes, but this has beefheart written all over it
