I'm going to Hawaii in four weeks and need to take my phone but data roaming charges using a NZ phone are horrendous (NZ $10 per 1 meg of data downloaded). Vodafone suggest I buy a prepaid sim card once in Hawaii and use that. I have been looking on eBay and it seems cheap and easy enough to get a sim card. But I don't want to be tied to a contract. Is there any particular sort or brand I should get? AT&T or Verizon? I need a micro sim so I guess I just search for prepaid micro sim on eBay? Any advise?
