My guess is because they have a bloated sense of self importance? Perhaps they are correct, and people really do hang on their presence in a online forum like this? Who am I to say they aren't that important? I for one don't think my worth here amounts to making posts like this if I am going to be away for a significant amount of time. Maybe I am incorrect in this assumption? Maybe some do value me and would be sad if I just left without saying anything? idk.... thing's like this are hard to judge. I'd rather error on the side of not being important though. that's just me.
