Clifford Lee "Cliff" Burton (February 10, 1962 – September 27, 1986) was an American musician, best known as the bass guitarist for the American heavy metal band Metallica.
just think how good Metallica would have been if he didn't have that accident? don't think he would have sold out and they would have put out more kick ass albums like ride the lightning, master of puppets and kill em all. if he came back to life he would kick Lars ass
Nothing against Cliff, but I liked Jason a lot even though he wasn't given a proper voice in the band.
i met sepultura on the first darrell green tour and they told me that their first choice to replace max was jason newsted but he declined because he was making too much money playing with metallica. it's a shame since that echobrain band that he ended up leaving metallica for was awful.

I thought he left metallica to join voivod
he recorded an album on bass with the band echobrain and left because james wouldn't allow him to release the record and remain a member of metallica. echobrain didn't last (thankfully, cuz they sucked), so he then joined voivod for their ozzfest stint.

the crab walking indian dude FTW!
I'd say it goes Burton > Newstead > Trujillo
sepultura>the other shit
he's already achieved "where are they now?" status
