My wife may be getting promoted in her company out to West Palm Beach/Boca Raton area.
The position pays like 75K, so we would definitely make the move from IL.....just wanted info from someone who actually lives there.......

Great housing prices, muggy year around, no snow, lots of tolls, flattest place you will ever see.

I would move to Florida. almost did in fact.... List of states I would live in

WA, OR, CA, NV, ID, MT, CO, FL, NY, PA, MA, TX, NH, AK, HI

that is about it. FL has decent schools, lots to do, tropical climate.

the worst thing about living in upstate NY is allergies! I've never had allergies in 34 years of life, I move here and May-Aug is a fucking nightmare. hoping I become immune soon.

The last few years, we've only had two seasons.
Summer. Winter.
But yeah, there's a few weeks a yr we get 60-70 degree weather constant. Which is wonderful ♥
