Lamb of God's role was different than Megadeth's role. If the same format remains from this year (ie three headliners with a decreased expectation in draw), Mastodon would have no problem filling that role.

-Crack The Skye was at number 11. So yes while they havent cracked the top 10 its not like the highest theyve peaked is 32 or something. -You think record sales hold as much weight as they did in the past? Its a dying medium. Instead look at the venues Mastodon tours at, which are the same ones Lamb Of God and Killswitch go to. They have similar draw power

eh when mastodon came here they played an arena about 1/2 the size LOG was at when they have played here

I wouldn't be surprised if The Hunter cracked the top 10, but I'm not holding my breath. Either way, Mastodon are a much greater draw now than when they were on Mayhem last. They'd be in that spot.
