I didn't even realize they gave them out last year until I was looking through the program and I was sweet. So I get home get the songs and I have almost every song that ws offered.

Even specific labels didn't have samplers. At the first Mayhem I got one from Prosthetic and and one from Metal Blade.

Never understood why people listen to bands they are on way to see or just seen. I don't usually listen to a band for like a week before their show.

Honestly I still don't think they deserve the shit they get. While yes, every song is pretty much the same and I hate Youtube-grade shredding, I'd much rather listen to them than some shitty core band. That being said, I haven't listened to them in forever and don't plan on changing that anytime soon.

I don't know about a week before the show.. But I get what you mean on the way there. I don't listen to bands I'm about to see on the way there except maybe a song or two if it's a long trip.

I only listen to a band on the way there if I don't know alot of their material like an opener or someone like that. I will listen to the band playing up until the day before just to get me hyped up for it.

It's really the people that tailgate and play the entire discography of the headliner. Mayhem last year was the worst, I heard disturbed everywhere I went.
